Chris Kolias – Saginaw
Saginaw kicker Chris Kolias picks up the Edge
Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week honor after converting
8-of-11 extra points with an UNO. It was the second time this
season Kolias earned the special teams award.
Matt Demunkus – Johnstown
Johnstown gets a second nod as kicker Matt
Demunkus earns the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of
the Week. Demunkus connected on two UNO’s and two field goals in
Johnstown’s victory over Huntington. He was also 3-for-5 on extra
points.
Dustin Zink – Northern Kentucky
For the fourth time this season, Dustin Zink has earned the Edge
SportsWear Special Team Player of the Week. He was 5-for-6 on extra
points and converted his lone field goal of the game. In addition,
he averaged 46.5 yards on kickoffs.
Daniel Eidson – Eastern Kentucky
With a perfect kicking performance, Eastern Kentucky’s
Daniel Eidson claims the Edge Sportswear Special
Teams Player of the Week. Eidson was 4-for-4 on extra points and
3-for-3 on field goals of 55, 47 and 29 yards, respectively.
Andrew Beaver – Saginaw
In a week that featured two kickoff returns for touchdowns and a
game-winning field goal, the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player
of the Week goes to Saginaw’s Andrew Beaver. His
50-yard return with 18 seconds remaining in the second quarter
helped keep Canton at bay. The Cougars had just scored their second
touchdown in 45 seconds to get to within one score, when Beaver
took the ensuing kickoff to the house. Beaver joins Chris Kolias
(3/29) as the other Saginaw player to earn the special teams pick.
Dustin Zink – Northern Kentucky
The other three-time award winner is Northern Kentucky kicker,
Dustin Zink, who claimed the Edge Sportswear
Special Teams Player of the Week. Zink converted all 11 of his
extra-point attempts and recorded his league-leading fifth UNO of
the season. In addition, he average 43.8 yards on his kickoff
Matt Demunkus – Johnstown
In his first game with Johnstown, kicker Matt
Demunkus picked up the Edge Sportswear Special Teams
Player of the Week honors. He was perfect on his extra point
attempts with two UNOs and two field goals. The two field goals
equals the league’s total on the season.
Chris Kolias – Saginaw
Chris Kolias converted 9 of 11 on his extra-point attempts with an
UNO. He is the first player to not play in the state of Kentucky to
earn the honor. In the first five weeks of the season, a player
from either Eastern or Northern Kentucky won the special teams
honor.
Dustin Zink – Northern Kentucky
For the third consecutive week, a player from Northern Kentucky
earned the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week. Kicker
Dustin Zink became the league’s first-ever
two-time honoree after going 11-for-11 on extra points with two
UNO’s. In addition, he averaged 50 yards on his kickoffs.
Maurice Douse – Northern Kentucky
Northern Kentucky’s Maurice Douse nearly averaged
20 yards per return with five returns for 98 yards in capturing the
Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week. He is the second
straight River Monster to earn the special teams honor.
