For a second straight week, Cincinnati’s Kyenes Mincy has earned a weekly award from the league. This time it’s the Trophy Award Special Team Player of the Week after he scored the biggest touchdown of the game. His 37-yard kickoff return for a touchdown came immediately after Marion’s touchdown gave them an 11-point lead. It was Cincinnati’s largest deficit of the season.
Florida’s Ross Gornall tallied seven points, including an UNO, to bring home the south’s special teams award for the sixth time in seven weeks.
Perfection helped earn both kickers their Trophy Awards Special Teams Player of the Week honors. Cincinnati’s Brandon Yingling (North) was 4-for-4 on extra points and averaged 46.9 yards on kickoffs, while Florida’s Ross Gornall was 8-for-8 on extra points with two UNOs and a successful onside kick. It marks the fifth time in six weeks Gornall has earned the south honor.
Marion’s Boo Jackson was named the Trophy Awards Special Teams Player of the Week after converting 5 of 6 on his extra points.
Florida kicker Ross Gornall continues to rack up special teams honors, winning his fourth consecutive Trophy Awards Special Teams Player of the Week award. He was a perfect 8-for-8 on extra points with a field goal and an onside kick.
Johnstown’s Victor Sesay (North) and Florida’s Ross Gornall (South) claim the Trophy Awards Special Teams Player of the Week. Gornall was 7-of-7 on extra points with an UNO and an onside kick. Sesay blocked two field goals and hauled in a two-point conversion for the Generals.
A pair of kickers, Marion’s Trey Kramer (North) and Florida’s Ross Gornall (South), bring home the Trophy Awards Special Teams Players of the Week honors. Kramer was 4-of-5 on extra points and 2-for-4 on field goals in the Blue Racers victory over Johnstown. Gornall accounted for 14 points, including two field goals and two UNO’s. In addition to his kick exploits, Gornall made a touchdown saving tackle.
The Trophy Awards Special Teams Player of the Week goes to Marion kicker Trey Kramer. This marks the second time this season Kramer has earned the special teams awards. He tied a UIFL record with a 55-yard field goal and added two UNOs.
(NORTH) Kramer converted six of his seven extra point attempts and was 1-of-2 on field goals.
(SOUTH) Dupree finished with 75 return yards in Rome’s five-point victory over Mississippi.

Saginaw kicker Chris Kolias picks up the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week honor after converting 8-of-11 extra points with an UNO. It was the second time this season Kolias earned the special teams award.
Johnstown gets a second nod as kicker Matt Demunkus earns the Edge Sportswear Special Teams Player of the Week. Demunkus connected on two UNO’s and two field goals in Johnstown’s victory over Huntington. He was also 3-for-5 on extra points.
