Erie receiver Willie Idlette and Florida receiver Wilfred Rivera earns the Conquest Cards Offensive Player of the Week honors. Idlette led the Explosion with seven catches for 134 yards and five touchdowns, while Rivera had five catches for 80 yards and four touchdowns in the Tarpons’ victory over Lakeland.

Troy Johnson (Lakeland), Andre Portis (Erie) – 4/29/12
Scoring touchdowns was limited to offenses as both of the All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week honorees found paydirt twice in leading their teams to victories. Erie defensive lineman Andre Portis (North) registered four tackles, including 1.5 for loss, two sacks to go along with his two defensive scores, while Lakeland linebacker Troy Johnson had five tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and two defensive tallies.
James Spikes (Cincinnati) – 4/24/12
James Spikes, along with the rest of the defensive line, was a disruptive force all game long. He recorded eight tackles with 4.5 sacks and five tackles for loss. The Erie offensive line came into the game allowing just nine sacks all season long.
Maurice Harvey (Lakeland), A.J. Saunders (Erie) – 4/17/12
Another A.J. wins an honor as Erie linebacker A.J. Saunders claimed the All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week after recording three tackles with three interceptions, including taking one back for a touchdown. The south’s defensive honor goes to Lakeland’s Maurice Harvey, who had nine tackles with three pass break-ups.
Harriel Moore (Florida), E.J. Underwood (Cincinnati) – 4/7/12
The All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week honors went to Commandos defensive back E.J. Underwood (North) and Tarpons linebacker Harriel Moore (South).
Underwood recorded his first two interceptions of the season, including taking one back 48 yards for a touchdown. He added two tackles and a pass breakup. Moore, who suited up for the first time this season, recorded eight tackles, 4.5 for loss and three sacks.
Antwone Canady (Cincinnati), Brandon Bruce (Mississippi) – 3/26/12
Cincinnati linebacker Antwone Canady (North) and Mississippi linebacker Brandon Bruce (South) are the recipients of the All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week. In his first start, Canady filled up the stat sheet with 10 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and returned a fumble for a touchdown. Meanwhile, Bruce compiled nine tackles, one sack, a forced fumble and scored a touchdown.
Drametrice Smith (Lakeland) – 3/19/12
Lakeland Raider linebacker Drametrice Smith earns All-Star PR Cincinnati Defensive Player of the Week laurels with 4.5 tackles, two sacks, two pass break-ups and a fumble returned for a touchdown.
Mike Robinson (Erie); Brisco Bingham (Rome) – 3/5/12
(NORTH) Robinson recorded five sacks, a new Erie record, and returned a fumble for a touchdown as the Explosion kicked off its UIFL tenure with an 81-7 victory.
(SOUTH) Bingham had four tackles, two sacks, a safety and a fumble recovery as the Rampage came back from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to post the 35-30 victory.

Jon D’Angelo – Northern Kentucky (5/17/11)
The Terry’s Tire Town Defensive Player of the Week honor goes Northern Kentucky linebacker Jon D’Angelo. Despite leading the league in tackles since week 3, D’Angelo never claimed the league’s weekly defensive honor – until now. He finished the game with seven tackles.
Toheeb Akinola – Johnstown (5/9/11)
The Terry’s Tire Town Defensive Player of the Week honor goes to Johnstown’s Toheeb Akinola. The defensive back recorded 11 tackles with two interceptions, including a 35-yard return for touchdown. His pick six helped the Generals reclaim the lead and spark a 30-0 game-ending run. He is the third Johnstown defender to claim the defensive award.
